Historic St. Ann Church was dedicated March 15, 1896 on the southeast corner of Rosemary and Datura Streets. In 1902 it was moved to its current location which was donated by Henry M. Flagler and served the Catholic Community until 1913. When the new church was dedicated, the old church was then used as the forerunner of St. Ann School which was built in 1925. In 1998 Mayor Nancy Graham's administration submitted historic designation documents to the state to see if the church was eligible for historic status. Bishop J. Keith Symons received notification that the property had been proposed for nomination for listing in the National Register of Historic Places and objected to the listing.
Slides: 1. looking north at the St. Ann Church complex on the east side of North Olive Avenue, 2. the main (west) facade of the 1912 church featuring a projecting, arcaded entrance portico consisting of three arched openings capped with a three gablets, 3. the Rectory, built ca. 1903, the main (south) facade facing onto Second Street.
